The Well-Dressed Puppet has gone up for pre-order on Amazon, with a new (earlier) projected publication date in late September! You can place an order here. The publication date on the order page has been incorrectly listed as July 16, but my editor assures me that the September publication is correct. It's still out earlier than expected, which is great news--the editing/final publishing process apparently went very smoothly.
In other book news, my newest proposed project, Creating the Character Costume, was enthusiastically passed by theFocal Press review board, and I have a signed contract and even a writing schedule! The projected publication date for this one is early 2016, but I'm hoping (with luck) that the process will go equally smoothly with this book, and I can have it out earlier. There will be a great deal of work involved, as I now have to begin the interview process with my featured costumers as well as write my own profile segment, but it's a topic I know and love, and I'm looking forward to beginning work on it.
Lastly, I will be a featured writing guest in a few weeks at ConGregate, a new media convention being held in Winston-Salem July 11-13. I plan to speak about both my ghost and puppet/costuming books, as well as do a reading from my in-progress zombie book 'Twas Halloween Evening. Click on the link for more details!
